First day in Dublin, Ireland
Currently at the hostel planning trips for the rest of the week. I arrived in Dublin this morning, and already ran into a few interesting situations including discreetly trying to blend in with a tour group and not understanding anything, thinking that the tour guide was speaking with an incredibly thick irish accent. Then, I suddenly realized that he was just speaking in spanish (oh the disadvantages of being deaf; the entire tour group laughed at me)... Met a guy who is skateboarding around the world (interesting idea - sailing or flying around the world is a bit overrated).. Literally fell asleep standing up during a 3-hour tour because because the tour guide, although an english speaker this time, spoke with a thick accent that was still incomprehensible. Memorized the entire map of Dublin. Ate some traditional irish dishes, nom, but haven't tried their famous Guinness. Will pass out soon.
